Flashbacks of the trauma are intruding on your day to day life.

You can’t sleep, or your sleep is always interrupted by nightmares.

You are easily triggered by reminders of the trauma and may be experiencing panic attacks.

Everything in your life is covered by an emotional haze, where you feel down and disconnected.

You hold negative beliefs about yourself as a result of the trauma, like “it was all my fault” or “I am worthless.”

Have questions about trauma therapy?

Q&A
  • I utilize a treatment method called Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat trauma. This therapy is very structured and includes building coping skills, creating a list of bothersome trauma memories, and desensitizing them using eye-movements or tapping. It is very effective at reducing the frequency, intensity, and duration of trauma symptoms.

  • If you have experienced a traumatic incident (think scary, overwhelming, or life-threatening) and have symptoms like intrusive memories of the trauma, avoidance of trauma reminders, or hypervigilance, trauma therapy is likely right for you.
